1:144 Polish WWII
TKS Tankette on Autotransport

(Standard 3 Colour Camouflage 1939)

This tank is fully painted in Polish 1939 Standard 3 Colour Camo scheme, weathered. No assembling required.

When Poland was invaded in 1939, the defense against the armour of the Wehrmacht were on the hand of Poland's tiny TKS Tankette. The Polish TKS Tankette with 20mm Cannon was the most heavily armed vehicle in the Polish Armed Forces. It was more than a match against Germany's zKpfw 35(t).

TKS Tankette on Autotransport
Special equipment was developed for the TKS tankettes. “Autotransport” was developed to prevent excessive wear on the TKS drive mechanism. And the TKS could be transported long distances faster without tracks on roads.

The TKS tankette would drive on top of this wheeled chassis via the rear fender/ramp on its own power. The track was then disconnected and the sprocket wheel reconnected to the rear-wheel driven Autotransport's driving system. The system was not successful because the Autotransport could not run on its own and when not in used, required to be towed by the TKS!
