When Poland was invaded in 1939, the defense against the armour of the Wehrmacht were on the hand of Poland's tiny TKS Tankette. The Polish TKS Tankette with 20mm Cannon was the most heavily armed vehicle in the Polish Armed Forces. It was more than a match against Germany's zKpfw 35(t).

Cockroach VS Panzer
The tankette was fast, small and very low profiled. As described by a German officer, it was like hitting cockroaches with the tank guns. The tankette scored successes during the early stages of the war. Plutonowy podchorąży rez. Roman Edmund Orlik destroyed three 35(t) on September 18th of 1939 during the Bzura Offensive and became one of the first tank aces of WWII.
