HISTORY
Sd. Kfz. 247 Ausf. A
The Sd, Kfz. 247 Ausf. A was a six-wheeled armoured car build by Krupp using the 6 X 4 chassis of Krupp Protze truck. Thinly armoured and open-topped, it was used as a command car for motorcycle divisions. Strangely they were not fitted with radios. It's cross-country capability was only as good as the Protze. 10 were built before the war started. They were superseded by the 4-wheeled Ausf. B version built by Daimler-Benz.
