1:144 CGD Wehrmacht '46 German 5cm KwK 39 Turret on E 10 Chassis

This vehicle is FULLY PAINTED in Dunkelgelb scheme and weathered .

The design of this model is based on fictional models shown on the internet where a 5cm KwK 39 turret developed for the VK1602 Leopard paper project is fitted onto an E 10 chassis.

Entwicklung Series E 10 - In 1945, the German war machine initiated a development program (Entwicklung, or E) aimed at categorizing the development of AFVs in 5, 10, 25, 50, 75 and 100 ton weight brackets. The E 10 was designed to be between 5 to 10 ton and initial as a testing platform for new components especially engine, transmission and suspensions. An engineer's drawing showed the E 10 fitted with 7.5cm Pak 39 L/48. It was to be installed with a Maybach HL 101 engine with 550 horsepower and was suitable to be deployed as Jagdpanzer against the new American M18 "Hellcat". Drawings for the E 10 was completed in Summer 1944 and three trial vehicles were ordered but not finished when the Russian arrived.

One special feature of the design of the E 10 was an auxiliary drive connected to the suspension to lower or raise the vehicle. The potential of this design was not practically realized until in 1950s with the introduction of the Swedish S-tank.

To simulate the ability of the E 10's adjustable suspension, customer simply flip over the track system during assembly, to have the E 10 in travelling or crouching mode (which reduced the vehicle height).

Glue is not required for the assembly of the track system and Schürzen.

Schürzen must be installed first before assembling the track system.

This 1:144 Wehrmacht '46 German 5cm KwK 39 turret on E 10 Chassis features a turret fitted with a 5cm Kw.k39/1 L/60 that was looked similar to that used on Sdkfz 234/2 Puma. But in fact it is larger and have thicker armour and was originally intented for use on another Paper Panzer Gefechtsaufklaerer "Leopard" VK 16.02.
